About

Integrated marketing, in service of the mission.

I lead marketing and communications for organizations where the brand is inseparable from the people it serves — camps, ministries, schools, and community-facing brands.

I've spent the last decade building marketing that meets people where they are. My work has taken me from youth and camp ministry into the classroom, through a global industrial distributor, into a 150-store retail brand, and now back to what I love most — leading marketing for a Christian camp and conference center in East Texas.

That range taught me how to hold one voice across very different audiences: a parent choosing where their child will spend a week of summer, a driver pulling into a convenience store on the way to work, an executive evaluating a multi-million-dollar proposal. The shape of the message changes. The care behind it doesn't.

I care about the craft of the message and the mechanics of the funnel in equal measure. Beautiful brand systems that don't move the number aren't the goal. Neither are campaigns that perform on a dashboard but embarrass the brand. The best marketing does both — and it treats the audience like a person, not a segment.

I'm based in Houston, Texas, partner closely with executive, program, and operations leadership, and prefer teams where marketing is treated as a growth engine rather than a support function.

Alongside my in-house work, I founded Waypoint Marketing to serve local businesses, nonprofits, churches, and camps with done-for-you websites, email, and campaigns — mission-centered, others-focused, and priced so small teams can afford real work.

Family

The people behind the work.

My wife Katie and I are raising four kids in Texas — two big sisters, a little brother, and a baby sister who has taught our whole family what courage looks like up close. She was born with a cleft lip and palate, and every stage of her journey has stretched our faith and deepened our gratitude.

Camp Cho-Yeh has become more than a job. It's where our kids run barefoot in the summer, where we've made lifelong friends, and where we get to see the mission we serve up close every week. Our family life and my work share the same center — faith, people, and showing up for the community around us.

Everything I build — inside camp, at Waypoint, or for a client — is shaped by the family I come home to.
